Somedays I just want to run and pick up take out or go to the store and buy something without even looking at the price. I think being frugal can be so tiring!!! It is beginning to wear on me

Lately I feel like that exactly. It is very tiring. Sometimes I wish I could be like everyone else, just buying, but I don't want to have all the bills like everyone else.

Yeap, I get tired. It does help motivate me to pay debt off asap... After that it should all be smooth sailing. We will have extra money to put away and still do the take out and actually go out! However, I am trying to make it my lifestyle..Make it a point not to miss it and really simplify our lives. The less we spend on "stuff", the sooner we will reach financial security.

I guess frugality has to Be a way of life ....

Its how You Spend your money when you do have extra to spend.

Its how the rich stay rich -

No I can't Go to Complete and udder Frugalness. Its NOT for Me. I do it to a point cause I Do want to Save some money overall.

I would rather have some debt and less savings and Get chineese takeout and NOT have to Worry about what to make for Dinner ......KWIM??

It is Too Much Planning for my brain right now -

I try - But I Can't Give up alot of things-
It just makes me totally stressed and then I feel worse than I Did before I turned down the 2.00 Coffee.

I'm getting better though ... Only half the time I actually turn around and Go Back to get it.

Another way save money is by just staying at home.
Then their isn't any choices to make.

Yes, but being tired from not sleeping due to bills is worse.

I was up from 4am on because my mind was calculating the increases in bills we have starting after the first of the year. The medical bills are pouring in, we just found out we have termites, our electricity is going up 5%, our mortgage is going up at least $100 due to tax increase (reassessment) and insurance, I know our health insurance is going up, along w/our deductible. I'm just getting scared.

In some ways being frugal is fun. Like this afternoon when I went to CVS to get a few things and get my perscriptioin filled. Well I had my purchases pretty much planned out & my coupons ready but I missed calculated and bought a few things for DD who was with that I hadn't planned on which was ok because my total was negative $2.??. I ended up buying two packs of gum and some star burst so that I could check out. I ended up spending $.54. Those are the fun ways to be frugal.

The not so fun times is trying to figure out how I'm going to pay for two eye exams for DDs along with two new pairs of glasses. We don't have vision insurance and both DD's exams are just a little over a year old. This is my oldest DD's 4th pair of glasses in under 2 years & my 2nd oldest 2nd pair in just over a year. The 95 Nissan just needed a new starter motor for $500 and it needs a little over $3000 in work to get it to last a few more months. Totally not worth it. Ao we ended up buying a newer car and now we have a car payment that I need to work into the budget. I could go on and on. It's been a difficult year to say the least. But I'm trying to be pro active. I'm trying to convince myself to dp the financial peace university online but I don't know where I'll find the money. I'm also trying to be more organized so that I don't over buy or miss out on a good coupopn deal. It just seems so overwhelming at times. I wish I could squeeze more time out of my day.

Too me being Frugal is only "fun" when i know that i have an emergency back up in the savings account or that i don't have to worry about every cent being spent. When you have no choice but to be frugal at all times 24/7 all year round, yes, it can totally be a drag after awhile.

I have been frugal now for so long (a few decades, lol) that it is just part of me. I do not feel deprived of anything. Because of my frugalness over the years, I live without debt, have my kids' college education paid for thanks to a college pre-paid program, have money in the bank and have money put away for retirement. I sleep easy at nights, can travel if I really feel the need to get away, eat well and healthily and enjoy life. Stick with being frugal, even through the rough times. It is really worth it over the long haul.
