I go to Walmart *maybe* twice a year. I just hate Walmart. LOL But I do go to Target...probably once every two weeks or so, it just depends on what I need. I usually spend between $50 and $100 each time.

I go to Wal-Mart once a week to do weekly grocery shopping. I spend between $40-$60 a week there.

The best thing I EVER did was figure out, and I dont know why it took me so long, that if I went to walmart constantly, I would spend SOOO MUCH MONEY. Probably over the course of a year, I went like three times a week and spent thousands in that year. And I am still paying it off... no joke.

Now, I go once a week, WITHOUT THE KIDS, and buy only groceries. It is saving me tons of money--just took some discipline.

I now only go once a week and my goal is to spend no more than $25, unless there is smoething large that I have discussed with DH. He used to tease me that I couldn't get out of there without spending at least $60 and I took that as a chalange! I've got a 3 week success rate and I'm working on lowering it even more!

Now keep in mind, that doesn't include diapers or formula! That would be unrealistic!! I try hard to stock up on those when they are on sale or clearance.

I would say I've gone in streaks where there's been a problem and others were I can be in control. I generally spend $25 a week there on average and that doesn't include most groceries. I will pick up a couple items there but the bulk of my grocery shopping is done elsewhere to limit my trips to Walmart. I buy household things there, paper products, school misc and small gifts.

I am a person that really needs to stay out of stores to stay on budget.

I hate Wal-Mart. I only go there if I need something that Target doesn't carry and it is on my way somewhere else...maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Even then, I get in and get out.

I go to Target when the running list on my fridge either has something that I need right away and can't get somewhere closer to home, or has grown to 9 or 10 things that I need from there. I also go for 90% off after holiday clearances. I probably go to Target, 8-10 times a year on average.

Both Wal-Mart and Target are about 18 miles from my house so I can't just pop in on a regular basis to browse.

I don't have a target but I do have a wal-mart! I try to only go once a week(grocery shopping) and spend about 80- 100. We do have a couple other grocery stores around here, but they are a lot more expensive. I try not to get sucked into the other parts of the walmart and just stick to the groceries.
