I just got home from there and spent $88.00 !!!! My husband hates me going there. He is always quick to offer to go for me. He thinks that if I walk in with a list for 3 items I am going to walk out with 6. He says Walmart is the type of place that can nickel and dime you into debt. My problem is that I love to go there and "just look" , I have yet to walk out without even just a little something. It is the one store I should NOT be allowed in I seem to loose my self control and buy something. :D

I have found if I just stick to the aisles around the outside of Wal-mart I can easily stick to my list. It is when I take those detours through the craft section or clothes that i blow it. I do however like the clearance aisle for buying Christmas throughout the year. I got my daughter a bathing suit for $5 and a paint set for $5. But I don't buy large amounts at one time so I haven't found this to be too big a problem. If I stay tunnel visioned and stick to my list I do fine. oh and I never take the chidren or the hubby. If they don't know it exists they don't want it.

I have never really liked Walmart very much, but I am hooked on Target! It gets me into trouble, I go in with a list of things we need, and come out with much more! I really need to send my DH, he usually comes home with LESS than whats on the list. Which can be a problem also.....

That is usually around CHristmas, birthdyas or when the latest video game my son wants is out and I can't find it anywhere else. I find the grocery prices are higher than Winco grocery. I use to prefer Target but I have noticed their prices have become alot higher and their quality has gone down to Walmart's level. I do depend on Target for toys.
I work near a BIg Lots that I get my cleaning and beauty supplies at. As for clothes I can get designer ones at the department or junior speciality shops cheaper. The trick is to ask when their big sales are and get on their mailing list.
I bought my daughter 700.00 worth of clothes/ shoes for 400.00 with preferred customer savings. ( She is 14 and a diva ) lol!

I go maybe 2-3 times a year to one of the stores-WM,KM. Or the bullseye store, as my kids call it. I hate going even when I need to because it is just mpossible to leave without spending too much! I'm better off trying to shop online! If I were to go to one, I'd pick Target.

I have always hated Walmart. Then last year they decided to build a HUGE super Walmart about 5 minutes from our house. I signed the petition to block it, went to several meetings against building it, you name it, I did it. I didn't want it in our area.

Now its built. Its huge. Its clean. And I am there probably twice a month.

we used to live about 1 mile from walmart and I was going about 3 to 4 times a weak maybe 150 to 200 dollars. but now that we live a good twenty minutes away I go only twice a month and it has made a major difference. My advice is to stay away from walmart.

We go to Super Walmart once maybe twice a month and spend about $160 total per month on household stuff and groceries. I stick to the perimeter of the store and have never been into the inner aisle. Mind you our Super Walmart is not even a year old yet. I like the plain Walmart much better, they carried more of a variety. Initially when SW opened we did our grocery shopping there because of the prices but the groceries stores have come way down in price to compete. The ads for the grocery stores are way better to compete with SW so I just shop the ads and have found that there are very few things that I go for SW for. I also try to stay out of Target and only go to buy the sale stuff. I have gotten way better about even shopping the end caps. Man this is such a budget saver.

My Walmart is a supercenter. I go once a week and get groceries, cleaning supplies, pet food, etc. I usually spend $120-$150. And that is if I don't go near clothes, crafts, or toys for the kids! I really could spend more, if I had it!!
