When you have a garage sale, what do you do with the left overs? Do you donate to a worthy cause, do you set a free pile on the curb, or do you save for the next sale?

I do a little bit of everything. I was happy to see the card in the mail today that said that the Epilepsy Foundation will be collecting curbside in a couple weeks. After my garage sale a couple weeks ago, I sorted what to keep and try to sell in the spring, what to donate, what to give away and what to throw away.

I usually donate everthing I have left over...at least I have in the past. Sometime I will freecycle stuff too ~ but it DOES NOT come back in the house

The first time we had a sale we saved it, kept it in the garage and it got all icky, and dusty and was a pain in the butt to navigate around...so next time we had one, we donated it afterwards. They came and took it all away and made it so much nicer and emptier in the garage!!

I tend to save some of the better stuff until the next sale! I ususally don't throw away anything... if i'm willing to trash it then it won't be in the sale to start with. I do donate some too!

I usually swear to my dh that he'll be able to park in the garage as soon as the sale is over. He actually hasn't parked in the garage since our sale in March! We just had another sale and I told him after this one he could park in it! It was 2 weeks ago! I had my sister donate everything but the kids stuff. I was going to put it in the Just Between Friends Consignment sale here, but they filled up too quick and I was not able to sign up to consign. SO, I still have the stuff in the garage. Neither one of us are parking in the garage right now! I'll be calling a children's consignment store here next week! What they don't take will probably be donated! I want to start parking inside again!

I will give it too Goodwill or use Freecycle. It depends on my mood lol.It never comes back in the house. If I was willing to give it away the first time, that means I did not want it.

This summer,my parents had one and asked if there was anything that I could put in it.Big mistake on their end lol.I got to clean my house out doing this and it was not coming back.I liked my newfound room.

First I pick out anything I think any of my friends would want and give it to them. Then, I bring to the Salvation Army to claim our tax deduction.

We have a rule...every thing that doesn't sell on our sale goes to goodwill or our local abuse shelter.

I usually pick out the better stuff and take it to Goodwill immediately after the garage sale is over. Then I put the rest out on the curb with a free sign on it. That stuff is usually gone within a matter of hours in our neighborhood. And none of it comes back into the house or the garage.

Ours goes right from our yard to the back of our truck then to Goodwill!
