Our weekend wasnt too frugal.
Saturday went over to fil's for dinner. Took over leftover 7 layer taco dip and chips, everyone ate it right up. Our little trip would have been frugal for the most part, if dh had not hit a deer on the way home.
Sunday wasnt much better. Got two newspapers for coupons (only spend .50 there) Than had to run to the store and get dh some cold medicine. Dinner was frugal as far as I used up some chicken that was already cooked and shredded. Used it for tacos. Used up chicken, can of black beans, last of the rice, and last of the frozen chopped up onion.
I really did try to be frugal.

1. Sold almost $300.00 worth of stuff on eBay.
2. Picked and froze 16 quarts of corn for free. It's a friend's field and his "rejects" are better than anything I can find in the stores or farmer's market.
3. Went to the grocery store and returned a box of cereal that I thought was on sale and evidently wasn't. It was over $4.00!
4. Shopped a couple of items at the thrift store.

I needed a b-day gift for a party next weekend.

I had the free hot wheels coupon for TRUS plus 2 $3.00 off coupons for their b-day club.

I got the car, a book for my son & My First Purse by Elmo for the present.

After the coupons everything came to $8.82.

When I got my receipt I looked, the cashier took my free coupon off plus my 2 $3.00 coupons & gave me 15% off one item.

Woohoo! The purse thing alone was $9.99, so I ended up getting the book for free as well & since it's Elmo my son is all over it!
