...who has re-gifted?

I have. I would NEVER re-gift just to save money, but if I got something that I was 100% sure someone else would like and it wasn't my taste or I already had one, I will re-gift.

For example: I got a new Dept. 56 christmas village piece one year that I already had and my SIL collects them as well. It was re-gifted to her.

No...I don't. If I get something that I don't want/can't use etc, I just offer it to a friend or family member by saying something like "...I got this as a gift and I can't use it, would you like it?"

I absolutely re-gift. I don't think most people care and I don't think they should. I wouldn't care if somebody re-gifted something I gave them, they are still "using" it. I actually re-gifted something for a baby shower recently....mostly I totally forgot to get something for a double baby shower for me and another woman at my church. Just one of those really "duh" kinda moments. I had a couple things that were really nice but really not my taste and it was pretty obvious that they would be something she would like. I really don't think there's anything wrong with it.

I re-gift, too. I've regifted duplicate items, things we didn't want or wouldn't use, etc. I am careful that the gift matches the recipient. I've also done like Oregano and given things to others. It just depends, but I see no problem either way.

I don't know about you, but I sometimes get gifts from people who feel obliged to give me a gift and know nothing about my interests (ie., brother who got matching travel coffee cups for DH and I -- I don't drink coffee). I have no problem re-gifting these courtesy gifts -- I really don't think of them as being very personal!

To me regifting is one of those - " why In the world wouldn't You Do it ???" kind of thing same as shopping second hand - I see NOT a thing wrong with it.

I do it all the time... I have so much stuff - I often just pick from my Mini - store of candles or body products. No matter if it was a Gift or if I Bought it - Its all in my Stock.

Also If I have gotten Really Dumb gifts - Like an Obvious Boy item for my Baby Girl ... so I Just save them for the next baby Boy that I Give a gift too. -
I don't ususally Get Junk for Gifts - But If I do it goes out to goodwill - I would be embarresed to re- gift those.

I wonder though - what is it that People see wrong with regifting?? Cause maybe I don't get the whole taboo ideas about not to do it.
I know I also Wouldn't Care if I was given a regifted gift

I have done it before too. I had gotten a beautiful scented candle for a gift...well I'm kinda smell sensitive and couldn't even stand the thing in the house (I had to keep it in a bag in the basement so I wouldn't smell it). I got invited to a spur of the moment birthday breakfast for a lady at our church so I wrapped it up and gave it to her. Oh course everyone wanted to know where I got it (whenever she opened it at breakfast), so I just told them that so and so gave it to me but I couldn't use it because of the fragrance....they all admitted that they re-gift all the time too ! Everyone happy!
