I wanted to make a pumkin pie but I didn't have a pie crust. I usually by them in the freezer section. So I made my own. I am very proud of myself, such a little thing, but hey.
I also am hanging out a load of laundry.

Feels good doesn't it? I love doing things like that - it takes me back to a simpler time when I was younger. My grandma hung out all of her clothes and made everything from scratch. I always justify the extra work when I cook something from scratch because I feel like something tastes as good as the amount of work you put into it. I know convenience food is good, but there is such a difference in taste between store-bought frozen fried chicken and real homemade, or pie crust in your case. Enjoy that pie. I bet it'll taste so much better with all your hard work put into it.

The little things really add up, you should be proud of yourself!

I wasn't very frugal today. I'll spare you the details, but it involved a trip to Target. I hope to be better tomorrow.

I guess the only money I spent today was the $16 my dd needed for German Club at school! I consider all school things necessary

I'm doing my own little pantry/freezer challenge and trying to use up all that I have so I can make room for holiday loss leaders like baking staples and turkey. I still have a ways to go since my pantry is pretty full. I made roasted chicken, mac and cheese and broccoli tonight from everything I had on hand. Didn't waste any gas to go anywhere. I also made whole wheat orange juice muffins for breakfast in the morning with stuff I had.

I washed DH's wallet. Why is that frugal? Because he didn't have it with him when he went to work so he couldn't sneak out the debit card to treat himself to those dreaded (expensive) energy drinks he has a taste for. Oh - another frugal thing: DH brought home dinner from work (he's friends with the mall's pizza place manager, so we get free pizza now and then).

I haven't left the house today but I am sending my husband out for cat food - is there anything more annoying in this life than hungry, angry cats! And I did spend $8.20 for stamps - delievered to my mail box!
