On Wednesday, I met my best friend at the Goodwill store in Mansfield. She was wanting to go there to look for dresses for her girls. I went, basically looking for cheap, pretty plates, that I could use to put baked goods on for Christmas gifts. Neither of us really found what we were looking for, but OH MY GOSH!! I bought 3 pairs of Levis for my son at $1 a pair. They were in nearly mint condition...just a tiny bit of wear in the knees!! I also found him 2 short sleeve t-shirts, 2 flannel shirts, and 2 long sleeve shirts (all .50 each)!!! But wait!! There's more.......my best ever find was an LL Bean jacket for $3....in his size!!! WOOHOO!! The only things I found for my daughter were 2 t-shirt, that she can use to sleep in, and a really pretty sweater from Limited Too. I almost couldn't believe it...normally the only things I find are clothes for my daughter...the boys stuff is always so picked over or worn out!! I was so pleased with my finds!!

It's such a rush to find great deals at thrift stores.

I wish I had a good Goodwill here. Wait I take that back. It could very well be good, but I can't bring myself to take a whole day to sort through their merchandise that is sorted by COLOR. Not size. Not type (pants, shirts, etc).. Nope --- COLOR! That even wouldn't be so bad if they didn't lump infants to older kids in the same section. Seriously. I go in thinking "I can get through this" and I'm in there 5 minutes and I just give up in exasperation. I can't do it.

Good for you!!! I haven't checked out ours here since we moved here last year, but they just built a brand new one not too far away that I would like to stop by at next week. DD really needs some jeans and sweat pants terribly bad and I just can't get myself to spend $10-$15 a pair for something that she'll wear one season.

I love Goodwill! I havn't been in a while, but I've gotten such great deals there too!! I found some mint condition Hanna Anderssen dresses for $3 each. I resold them on ebay for over $20 each! But I do find stuff for my kiddos. I look for Gap and Gymboree, most of the time I find it, but its not always in nice condition. However, last year I found tons of Gap all in Cameron's sizes, that totally excited me! Now I have it all to sell on ebay as it no longer fits him!
