Our frugal thing of the weekend was to go to a potluck party. We had a great time, and it was much cheaper than going out!

We didn't spend a dime on Saturday! Stayed at home all day and worked in the yard.

Sunday was another story -- but I don't think we went to overboard with maybe the exception of lunch. We ate at this place that we always like but always walk out thinking, "Man we spent too much." But I did buy groceries for the entire week.

Not much of anything frugal here. We had a birthday to celebrate so that shoots frugal in the foot.

Saturday I got my haircut, Christmas shopped at Bath and Body works, and Children's Place. Nothing frugal there.

Sunday we went to the zoo, which we have a pass so it was free, and they had a halloween day where the kids could go trick or treating there. We packed our cooler with snacks and drinks and had a picnic. So today was absolutely free!

Not frugal on Saturday, took family out to lunch at chinese buffet, spent $40. But was frugal today, didn't go out the door, didn't spend a dime! Watched scary movies all day with the kids, made dinner, turned out to be a very nice day!

Saturday, I went to visit my parents, which would have been frugal, until Brian called me to ask me to bring home a few pizzas from our favorite pizza place in Columbus. I spent $37 on 3 large pizzas, and 3 cans of pop. OUCH!! But when we only get Dino's Pizza once in a blue moon, I guess it's worth it!!
Sunday, ran to get anti-freeze for Brian and picked up a Sunday paper. Coupons suck, but did manage to get some gift ideas for Brian for Christmas!! Made homemade chicken & noodles for supper!! So not too bad, I suppose.

my dd had her friend spend the night and other than taking them to dinner which was 30.00 for the 4 of us (not too bad) we took them to a few of the pumpkin patches and let them play in the jump houses and pick out a pumpkin each $2 and they drew on them when we got home. So $4 to entertain them was pretty good!!!! And while they played hubby and I got to talk which was nice

Then on Sunday we went to my parents and ate chili (free) and took the kids to trunk r treat and the church and spent $2 on tickets for the different games that they had.
All in all it was a great cheap weekend......

Sunday my MIL took the girls trick or treating at the nursing home where their great-grandma lives. (free entertainment + candy).

I took my lunch to work both days.
