This is the first Christmas that DH and I actually saved a descent amount of money to spend on Christmas and yet this is the first year I HAVE NO IDEAS FOR ANYONE. We have saved enough money to buy all of our immediate family a pretty decent gift between 30-40 dollars and yet I have been trying to christmas shop for 2 weeks now and NOTHING is catching my eye.
I guess my question to you ladies is what would you do? what would you buy? and would you spend the money on Christmas if you did not think the person really neeeded or wanted anything in the price range?

Gift cards I think are always a good ideas when you have some cash to spend....Amazon gift card, ebay, Visa gift card, local malls. In the past I have given people gift card to giftcertificates.com (Super certificate), the website list stores they are redeemable at.

Personalized items also seem to go over well, such as from photo websites (Snapfish, Shutterfly....)

Good luck.

i would try to buy something they need. like household goods. maybe something on the funner side, like a chocolate fountain or fondue set. if you're looking for something unique, you might consider buying them a gift certificate to a spa for a half- hour massage. i think that's in the price range.
but if you absolutely can't think of anything else, few people will reject a gift card.

How about a nice bottle of wine?

magazine subscription
movie tickets
blockbuster gift cert./netflix cert.
car wash gift cert.
if they golf- gift cert for a few basket of balls at the golf range
pedi/manicure cert

These are just ideas if you did not want to go the basic gift cert to a store. Also you would not have to spend up to $40 if you got lets say a cert for the pedi/manicure or the movie tickets. IMO I would rather something I would use that cost less than something I really do not care for that cost more $.

Good luck
