Default Do you find yourself buying more presents when you find a good sale?

When you come across a great sale for presents do you find yourself buying more than what you would have if they weren't on sale? For instance Kohls has buy 1 get 1 free sales. Sometimes I find myself buying more because it's a great deal in my mind when I should get the 2 items and move on and save myself the money.

I told myself I was getting 3 toys for each kid this year! Santa will get 1 plus stocking stuffers! I've been done with it ALL for a while now but I'm ALWAYS coming across more for the stockings and have a few more things I'm thinking of getting for the boys! It's taking everything I have to not go get them! OH, and I added one group gift for the boys from us just so I could get a few more things!! I'm so bad!

i used to do this all the time but have slowly stopped. i keep a small notebook in my purse with a page for each person i buy for christmas/birthdays and once i have bought something i write it down and put a check mark on the page so i know they are done. i do buy a couple extra gifts for kids birthday parties from school.

Yes, I think this is true and I think retailers depend on it!!! For instance, I bought something on-line yesterday that totaled $41, and then looked to see that if I bought $50 worth of stuff, shipping would only be 5 bucks. So of course, I looked back to see if I could find something else to make the $50 mark. Then I came to my senses and said why am I buying extra? So in the end I just checked out and I am glad that I did!!
