Do you take your own with a digital camera and get different sizes of those?
Do you take a complete family portrait or just pictures of the kids?

I use JC Penny's each year and use the coupons.

We are quite lucky. One of our good friends is a professional photographer and does our holiday photo for us each year. Almost for free......my husband in exchange has maintained our friends website.

Anyhow, we get all the pictures done in digital and then my husband can re-size and color correct what is needed for the photo we want printed. Typically we have them printed at Sam's Club or Costco for very cheap!!!!!

Part of the perk here is that my husband is a computer graphics and web guy!

I must say that Sam's Club has a great deal on the Holiday photo cards. You can get about 30 of them for about $8.00. They even include nice envelopes.

We will be taking a family picture with our digital camera and having cards made from it. It is just too darn hard to get 9 people to the photography studio. Plus I want the dogs included too.

We included our dogs one year and everyone just loved it!!!!!
The hard part is getting your dogs to look at the camera at the same time.

We had a friend use our digital camera to take a picture of us on the boat. We started that tradition last year. I ordered photo cards from Snapfish. I used the family pic and chose another picture of each of my girls to include.

JC Penney is inexpensive with the coupon but it is a nightmare to take small children in there. The one in our mall has horrible service and is very dirty.

We choose a few of our favorite digital photos from throughout the year and make a collage of sorts out of them with a message and have them printed on 4 x 6. Last year I had some done at Quality 1 hour photo then needed more so went to HyVee 1 hour and I was much happier at HyVee. I paid .26 and .15 each.

DD is just 3 weeks old so we are taking her to Sears today(with coupons) and my husband and I will be in the picture with her. I thought about someone taking the picture of us, but my husband loves Sears, so that is what we are doing.

The first year I sent out photo cards was when my oldest was 4 months old! I called around and Moto Photo had the best Studio deal so I took him there! They were pretty cute! Every year after we've gone out to a nice wooded 'park' out here and take our own pictures! I have them made up at Wal Mart and are very happy with the final product!

The year ds2 was 4 months old we sent out a family photo! This year since ds3 will be 4 months old we'll probably do a family photo again! Otherwise, on the years in between we do one of just the kids! (DH doesn't really like to be in them, but we are when we have to prop up the baby!)

We go to JC Penney's with their $8 coupon package for the kids for our closest family for their birthdays.
At Christmas, we'll take the kids picture together in front of the tree and print 4x6 pictures off of Winkflash.com and include those in everyone's Christmas cards.
