I am starting dave ramsey's plans as well this month. I'm going to try and only buy what i absolutely need. No toys, books, movies, clothes, etc. I'm going to try and use what is in my pantry for meals and limit trips to the grocery store.

My first goal is to get $500 in an emergency fund. That alone will probably take months to do. Any ideas for coming up with money when you are already scrapping to get by? I'm going to sell books and cd's I don't want anymore. I might sell some things on ebay.

How about a garage sale?? Is there anything that you could do in the evening on a very part time basis to get your EF started?? Like, I have a home based business that helps and I control when and how much I work.

Good Luck!
