1. Shopped at HyVee and got a coupon for 6 cents off each gallon of gas.
2. For $5.00 my dd had a cooking class this morning at HyVee. She learned how to make no-bake pumpkin pie and then they made individual pizzas. There were leftovers so parents got to eat lunch as well....not bad for $5.00

Ate lunch at home and used up some stuff. Planned out meals for the rest of the month, so no eating out!

I am having a productive frugal day!

1) packed lunch for everyone that needed one. Me and my youngest had leftovers.

2) We FINALLY got our puppy last night- who is infested with fleas , called the vet to see what to do (the puppy is only 6 weeks old!)- the receptionist told me to use Dawn dish detergent- it works wonders!!!! I have to do it again in a little bit- there is 3 stubborn fleas I could find after bathing him. Saved me a trip to the vet and medication (I am shocked that I actually had Dawn on hand- I am obsessed with Palmolive Lavendar & Yling Ylang and have about 50 bottles in my stockpile- well not that much- but you get the point!).

3) Getting the girls Christmas pictures taken today- with a coupon!

4) Making supper from what I have on hand!

I'm on a frugal roll today..
  • Doing Laundry with my homemade detergent
  • Dusting the house with vinegar and water mixture
  • Ate leftovers for lunch
  • Packed DH's lunch with leftovers
  • I've found a nice turtle neck my my dd's have outgrown in the head part and going to use it for a pattern for their jammie shirts without the outgrown neck part. So excited I have a pattern here I like! LOL!
  • Gave both dd's a tea tree oil bath instead of medication

Made pot roast for dinner tonight...it's cooking as I type and smells YUMMY!
I wrote out a meal plan for this week. So far I am on Day 2 and sticking to it...YAY!
Ate left overs from last night for lunch.
Sent out a huge batch of expired or nearly expired coupons to a Navy base in Yokosuka, Japan.
Instead of washing my dishes one by one with the water running, I filled up one side of the sink with soapy water and let the dirty dishes soak in there throughout the day saving me time, water, and money on my water bill :D.

I stayed home all day so I didn't spend a dime! I had a friend over, so that's cheap entertainment. Simply put on a pot of coffee!
