I don't mind generic. But there are a few things I can not do generic. Mayo has to be miracle whip, nothing else! Toothpaste, can't do generic there, I don't think it works as good. Cheerios. I will get generic cheerios for the kids, but if I am in the mood for them, it has to be the real thing, I think generic tastes stale. I did, not generic but very cheap, suave shampoo/conditioner for about two years. I had to quit that because mine and my girls' hair looked like hay. Very dry and yucky. A hair dresser told me whatever I was using was ruining my hair and my hubby told me to stop using it when he noticed how bad it looked. I am sure there are more, just can't think of it now.
So yes there are some things I can not do generic. But overall I am fine with generic.
