Only about $700 for Christmas this year. We are doing a secret santa with a $65 limit so everyone just buys one $65 present instead of buying for everyone. We all contribute to stocking stuffers, and I'll probably spend a little less than 100 here. And dh and I will only spend $100 on each other. We only spend $100 per kid. Their playroom is packed, they have everything, and we're grasping at straws (with what to get them) already, so $100 it is. My parents will spend several hundred on each anyways.

I think we'll come in under budget if we try.

I did get a $130 cashmere Ann Taylor sweater for $37 yesterday for my mom (my dh is her secret santa), so we are off to a great start.

Probably around $700 or $800 for us too. That includes our family of four (about $75 for each of us), various extended family members on both sides, and a few friends. We also typically spend $75-$100 buying gifts for a less fortunate child each year as well.

I don't usually get to buy throughout the year. But I still usually don't keep track. But we don't use credit cards, so if we don't have it, we don't spend it. I am going to guess that in a usually year, with all the wrapping paper cards, tape, presents for neices and nephews and our parents, we must spend close to 800. Maybe I should keep reciepts this year and see. For our income bracket, that is probably a little high? I am not sure.

My budget this year is:

$75 for each child (2 children)
$10 for neice & nephews (4)
$5 for everyone else (15) including 4 teachers

Total: $265 and I came in way under my budget!

I did start shopping right after Christmas last year picking up things on clearance here and there. A bunch of gifts I got for free from my work as our parent company is a large card retailer.

I just hope that every year runs this smoothily.

I will have to shell out some $$ for my dd2's birthday party at the begining of December but starting next year no large parties as I company will be closing it's doors in January so I will be out of a job.

I always end up spending a little over $300 for each kid, which is 3. And me and DH spend around $50 a piece on each other. My family and his family draw names and I usually end up with my SIL's name and she gets mine, we limit it to $25.

This year I've budgeted...

$60 each for my 3 boys (from us & santa)
$30 extra for a group gift to my boys from us
$10 each for the boys gifts to each other (ds1 & ds2 get $10 for a gift for ds3, etc)
$20 each for ds1 & ds2 stockings (this includes underwear)
$15 for the baby's stocking
$25 for my 2 older nieces
$20 for the other 6 nieces & nephews
$100 for my parents
$50 each for dh's parents
$40 each for his g-mas
$30 for his ex-step-mom
$65 each for dh & myself (stockings plus any gifts)

All in all, $895! So far I've bought about half the gifts and I'm already $130 UNDER budget!!! At this point though, I'm afraid a lot of the gifts from here on out will be gift cards so I probably won't be saving much more than I have!!! -You know I'll try though!

DH blown our budget this Thanksgiving week- ! I was budgeting around $350- $125 for each our our girls and $125 for our families ($50 on my mom and dad- $50 on our grab bag (which is supposed to be $25 each) and $25 towards our niece and nephews. DH spent $95 on his family by chipping in on someone elses grab bag present (gave my SIL $50) and spent $20 over on our BIl's present ! He is not buying anything for anyone next year!!!!

It's really not a comparison thing, it is more of a curiosity thing.
God knows everyones situation & circumstances are different when it comes to budget.
I just think it is interesting to know if others want to share.
