I love the way I live.. Frugal... :D

The following are the useful savings strategies that will help you have a bright and happy future for you.

Change your way of shopping, purchasing, and saving. Use your own talents and skills, rather than taking the help of a professional. Try doing things, hobbies, and activities that will not involve so much expense.

Minimize the amount you spend on expensive alcoholic drinks and cigarettes, rather use that money on something that is more productive and healthier.

Shopping around, comparing prices in various shops before purchasing anything is one of the best ways to raise your saving, , because it's very likely that the shop beside you is offering it on sale.

When you accumulate all your savings from each item, you will realize that simply by patiently looking around you have raised your saving by few hundreds.

Another excellent way of increasing your savings is saving your money within a savings account. This can be an excellent source of immediate funds to meet unexpected emergency.

It is sensible to save your money in an interest bearing account to meet your emergency needs, instead of taking a loan or bill a credit card. You will be in more debts and higher interest payments if you choose to take a loan or bill a credit card.

I'm practicing this suggestion now. I have a saving account at ING Direct marked just for my car. If the unexpected happens I don't need to use a credit card.

My parents were in the market for a reverse cycle AC and did their shopping. One shop had it for $650 where as another shop further away had it for $350 so for the price of petrol to drive 90kms to get it, they saves themselves a few hundreds.

Shopping around is good. I don't have the patience but if I want to save money that is what I need to do. I need a new dryer so I'm going to shop around for the best price unstead of getting the first one I see.

It can me used so I'm going to check ebay first.

I surfed for two months for our "new" van. When we drove to the dealers around our house they all wanted more than we could afford. We have three children and we needed to be able to get them around so a car wasn't an option, especially with three car seats at the time.

I found our van for $8000 less on the web at a dealership then by going in and talking to any in person. 4 years later we are still driving it and love it.

All this took was some research (web and driving around locally) to find the best deal. Ours was a fleet car that was turned back in so it was very low in mileage too. The only thing we had to do was drive 40 miles to go and test drive and buy the van.

Shop around, Shop around it pays!!

I guess one of my strategies is also to research what you are buying a good price doesn't always mean quality so checking out a consumer reports buying guide from the library can be an east way to do some research and really see where the best value is. We had one with us when we bought our last car. We could look up the reliablity of the models we were looking at and even the price range that they should be in.

I am also into buying gentally used my dd is little and doesn't care that her clothes are handme downs and many of her toys came from a garage sale

My DH did a lot of research into our car when we were car shopping. He priced insurance, maintaining costs, petrol consumption and registration fees for the various makes we were looking at.

It came down to 2 Toyotas and we took the more expensive but newer model which would save us on interest for the personal loan and registration fees for 4 years.

Shopping around can save you tons of money.
