I had bought Guitar Hero III for Wii yesterday ($90) Well, I returned it today. I know I always want the kiddos to be a bit spoiled on Christmas, but they are getting older and it is getting too expensive!!! Plus I just bought my dd a bunch of new clothes and she went shopping with friends to the Mall of America today and I gave her $4o (which she did not think was enough), plus we have 2 birthdays next week, dd has JO Volleyball registration ($300) and Wrestling registration for my 4 boys ($120). So, we decided that they do not have to have everything they want for Christmas, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!

You go girl!

It's great that you can put on the spending brakes when it starts to get out of hand.

Good for you! We want to buy everything we see for our kiddos--but hey, it's not like they'll stop making toys anytime soon! A couple weeks before Christmas we lay everything out on our bed (after the kids are asleep!) and decide what will be given on Christmas, what will be stored for future birthdays, Christmases, etc., and what will be returned. Because of our crazy shopping spree last Christmas we didn't need to buy anything for my son's birthday OR this Christmas--including stocking stuffers!
