We are waiting until the 14th to do our shopping because DH gets a big overtime check and we can do it all cash. This is the first year we are not using credit cards. I know I'll love not having the leftover debt, but it's killing me not to start the shopping!!

we dont have credit cards ,never had,ours it paid straight out and it feels good to know it is all paid for an not worry with paying for items the next few months

Ours is all paid for in cash. We were fortunate that I just started a new job in August and it was a nice raise from my last job, so that "extra" money all went to buying Christmas. Now it will go to savings! Yay!

We've never charged Christmas. There have been years, like last year, that I was severely over budget, but we've never charged it. I'm thankful for that because I know just being over budget was terrible for a month, but it only lasted a month. Credit card debt could have been much worse!

I did a lot of buying online so I used a credit card with a virtual account number. We vowed not to use credit cards but we are using one for online purchases. I felt insecure about using the debit card online. If someone hijacks it we will be SOL. I made the payment as soon as the transaction hit the card.

We try to not use our one credit card unless it's an emergency! So yes, we did pay all cash for our Christmas shopping!

we paid for all ours in cash i have a couple more gift cards to get but those will wait until the week before christmas since we have to wait for that paycheck but at least it in cash that way.

We always use cash. We just end up saving less this month than in normal months in order to pay for two December babies' birthdays and Christmas.
