All cash for us. I hate credit card bills. We do small, meaningful gifts instead of expensive ones anyway.

We've never used credit cards for gifts, we save a little out of each paycheck for Christmas all year long. If we can't afford it, we don't buy it. We do our very best to get the kids a few things off their list and they are usually happy with whatever they get.

I buy stuff thru out the year and put it up for xmas and birthdays.

When I buy stuff for people for xmas, i put a sticky note with the name of the person that I bought the present for in the gift. I also keep a updated list of people who I buy for. I crossed the name off as I purchase their present, that way I don't overbuy.
