Isn't it a great feeling to not be among the masses who go into debt for Christmas?

How did you all do it?

Was anyone tempted to get "just a little more" and resisted?

I know CrazyKelly did a great job...Kudos to her!

Dh works a lot during the holidays so we do have cash for holiday spending. We have actually NEVER used a credit card for holiday spending. I like it this way because once it is gone, that is it, no more. I wont go over our Christmas budget, I get tempted but than I have to remind myself that I have to have money for other things for the rest of the month;gas, utilities, food, etc.

So far so good I got money for my birthday in Nov that I have started with. I am hoping that the christmas money my father sends us will come enough before christmas so that I can finish up.

We WILL NOT charge anything!! We'll figure something else out

I always use cash only. I don't remember the last time I charged Christmas. Maybe 20 years ago before I was married, I think; when I was of a different mindset.

About 7 years ago I went nuts on some credit cards. I paid them off and have yet to open a new account....they probably wouldn't give me one anyway. I'm not going to sign up for one any time soon. It's just trouble.

I did put some stuff on my card but will pay it off by the end of the month -- I hope that counts! I was temped to buy something for my husband that would have required credit but it was way more expensive than what I was willing to do. So he doesn't get that now.

Well, I do put everything on my credit card BUT I have the money in my savings account from my Christmas club so it's paid when it comes in

I also have put christmas on cards, but we are paying them off in Jan when the bill comes in. We had an unplanned event in that one of our dogs got hit by a truck. She survived after we have had to pay $1100 dollars. Yep read that right. ANyway, we plan on paying the cc off as well as some other bills in Jan before Dh starts school. After Jan we should only have one cc we are paying on, and our home inprovement loan(which we will pay off on April).
