It seems like it...we always need milk, TP, a gift for so-and-so. And dd loves to shop. Ok, I know she's only 9 months, but we BOTH love to get out of the house, and getting out of the house often means shopping. I try to only get what I need though. Of course, there is need, and there is NEED, iykwim. I don't NEED to chocolate chips to make cookies, but I need bread.

It never fails - I'm always running out to the store for something before dinner - I'm always missing some ingredient and then when I get there - I don't just get what I need - I'll spend more money on stuff I don't need!

But if I'm out of the house - I'm spending...so I try and stay home as much as possible!

Its hard to have kids and be in the house all day , especially since the weather is getting cold. Here in Michigan anyway. I to spend way too much a day. I cant stand sitting in the house, cant clean without someone watching the baby because im affraid my 3yr old will unintentionally harm her...etc Sooo we go out. We end up a Wallmart usually. And ofcourse we have to eat lunch.lol No one as far as Ive read has said anything about Hubbys complaining about the $ we spend? OMG mine does.. Thats a different story and post though.lol

Have you ever thought about joining a moms club or something along those lines? I honestly only spend money 2 to 3 days out of the week. I stay busy the other days with things around the house, doing projects with the kids, going to the park or going to story time at the library. When I do go the the store I make a list to make sure I remember to buy everything and only limit myself to x amount of money in impulse buys. My husband I make a game out of how much money can I save us at the store this week. With feeding 5 children it can be a task. When I feel like spending money I do something nice for myself at home with things we already have like reading a magazine that I haven't looked at in months, making a new recipes, or going through a drawer or cabinet that I don't open very often to discover what I forgot I had.

I used to be the same way since I started being a stay at home mom - however - since I started earning an income from home, I have found that I am very busy working right here at home (with my kids right here with me) - so I don't feel the need to go out and spend $$ or go "pass time away from home". It has not only helped me fill my hours with productive things - it has brought a substantial income into our home so when I do go out and about, I have $$ to spend without having to worry about every cent.

If you are interested in how I am able to do that - contact Tina @ momswintina@charter.net

I dont everyday.I do my shopping weekly and lately I am just doing it all in one store.I shop at Save A Lot or Aldies so I am not paying to much money at the high dollar one.I will buy milk @ 1.99 a gallon and get at least 3-4 gallons at a time....But I have to go to a certain gas station for this.IF I do get something other then that,it is due to a kid suddenly needing something or something broke and needs to be replaced.I start planning a food list on Wednsday so by the time Friday gets here,I have everything remembered and wrote down.

I do not go to Walmart unless I HAVE TO.Then it ticks me off lol.I am glad we dont have one in town too lol.Less tempting that way.I prefer to stay home.I have to leave at least 2 times a day due to the fact I have to take Kevin(my oldest on crutches)to school and pick him up.When he gets off of them,I will make him ride the bus again. Then I will only get out when I have to.I am a "hermit" lol and proud of it!

In all reality...if you drive anywhere, you ARE spending money.
