have any of you ever thought about doing shopping at pawn shops?
my husband works at one part time and it is not like how i thought it would be. many of the things we own were purchased from there. my computer, digital camera, dvd's, cd's, video games, video game consoles, etc...

MY dh use to work at a pawn shop a few years ago. He even worked at one before we were married. We use to get lots of things there. It is a great place to get cd's and dvd's. We once got a 40 something inch tv there for like less than a $100. Heck, we still have that tv and that was probably like 10 years ago. We havent been to any for a long time. But that is a great idea about the digital camera and computer.

My husband LOVES pawn shops and before him I don't think I had ever even stepped foot in one. That said, they still aren't my favorite places in the world, but you can't beat them for prices on DVDs, CDs, electronics, and I've seen some pretty nice jewerly. I've also heard that they have some pretty good gun prices but maybe that is just living in North Idaho! I don't, we don't have guns! Oh and I got my mountain bike at one! That was one of our best deals!

I don't even go in them. I'm thinking that's been a mistake! I need to stop by one sometime!

I work in my step dads Pawn shop...I will tell you this, I will never buy another piece of jewelry at a jewelry store ever!! I was always scared of them before but I love working there and shopping there!! You can get some really awesome deals! And dont be afreaid to negotiate the price esp when using cash!!

I buy ALL of our son's gameboy and gamecube games there...$10.00 instead of $39.99 and they come in the original box with instructions and everything!

They have awesome deals on musical instruments, and I am saving up to buy my son a drum set. The good thing about it is that these are really well made, professional instruments...not Walmart junk.

Also a great place to get tools..(leafblowers, chainsaw, etc )

I love pawn shops!!
