Well, yesterday didn't end up being so great. We bought paint to redo a bathroom...$51, but that was all cash specifically for that project. Then we went out to dinner with some friends (I thought they were taking us out, but we ended up paying)...$37. Ugh.

Today I may need to get a few groceries. I WILL bring a list and stick to it!

I have been preparing for this challenge since Wednesday. I did a pantry and freezer stock on Thursday and I have prepared a dinner menu for the entire month of January. I just have to get an oil change in our truck and stock up on diapers tomorrow (Target is having a great sale. The large boxes of Pampers and Huggies are on sale for $18.50 and you get a $5 gift card if you buy 2 and also you can get a $3 off coupon for Huggies on fullcup.com.) and then I am ready. I should not have to buy anything but milk, eggs, lunchmeat, cheese and gasoline all month!

I'm up for the challenge!
The only thing I spent money on this week was for the movies $12 but I had $20 in GC so that isnt bad. So 4 of us went to the movies and got popcorn and a drink for $12.

After the kids go back to school I am joining the challenge. No extra $ spent in January and I will keep my grocery and fuel bill under control.

I tried to do a bi-weekly trip and have already been to the store 3x. I thought I had enough eggs, bread, milk & apple juice but I ended up having to run back to the store!! I need to get better at shopping in bulk.

I signed up for the 2008 challenge and am writing my expenses down, starting today. My husband spent $40 at Lowes and we're spending $20 for our carryout night.
