Oh my goodness! That's wonderful!!! Congratulations to you!!!! Great job!!

I know what you mean about Costco. That's my great weakness as well. We were able to get out of there yesterday with about $117, which is MUCH less than normal, but more than what I was planning. I'm sure you'll have more constraint that I did!

We don't buy "big things" either. Most of our overspending is on the little stuff here and there. It definitely adds up.

We're back from Costco and can you believe we didn't buy anything?!!! They did not have the Coleman nitrate free hot dogs. The eggs were 2 - 1 & 1/2 dozen packages and we just don't need that much. I forgot how much pot stickers were there, $9.99 a bag (you do get quite a few meals from that bag, but we decided to forgo them). Then we were going to get the 1/2 and 1/2 and dh said, "do you really want to wait in that line for 1 thing?" Since Costco is just literally down the street from us I figured I can get the same good price anywhere maybe even cheaper. Then we ran to the local grocery to see if they had the hot dogs, and they didn't either. They did have a different brand, but last time ds didn't like that brand and as they are primaily for him I didn't want to take such an expensive chance. Since I'm going to be somewhere getting fruit tomorrow we just got a gallon of organic milk (a really good price there, under $6 for a gallon organic whole).

I was shell shocked at Best Cuts though for ds, he has three cowlicks in his hair and we have to keep it quite short for him not to look messy. I don't like to spend too much on his hair, for the little he has of it, so we went to Best Cuts. Their kids cut is up to $10.95!! For the 5 minutes they spend with him I was shell shocked. We definitely should have gone somewhere with a coupon, but I had no idea it was going to be so much, it must have gone up like $2 in a few months! And then to add insult to injury I told her to cut it as short as possible - which was my fault - because I meant short with scissors, and by the time I went over there she had ds's head 3/4 shaved!! In the darn winter!! At least I saved the 'top' but now he is going around with one of those little 'monk' cuts!! He looks good anyway but sheesh! Thank God he is little enough not to freak about it!

Anyway that was our shopping day!! But I have to say, BOY was I tempted. But we all held back. At least I paid cash for the haircut and it won't come back to haunt me on our Visa.

Little Chinese dumplings. The ones we buy are chicken and vegetable. They actually aren't too caloric and they come with soy sauce based dipping sauce packets. Ds loves them. I make some rice and peas to go with it and it is a full meal.
