Ya know I really see nothing wrong with buying something practical for 75% off! I mean really! We haven't exactly gone one an entire spending freeze. It's been more of an "impulsive spending freeze". Maggie I know how it is! When we have our next child, I'm going to have to turn our office into my daughter's bedroom. I like to get things done and have them completed NOW. But by buying a couple pieces here and there..i think you will find that even though it will take more time..you will spend SO MUCH less than you normally would of. Plus it give you time to find furniture and accessories that you really like and you feel good about.

My fav. piece of furniture in our bedroom my cream colored night stand that has a blue "french touille" (sp?) pattern on it. It also was antiqued. My MIL bought it for us when we first got married on clearance at Ross for $10! What a steal! You would normally pay well over $100 for something like that!

So no worries...you will finish that room...and if you find a "steal" during the spending freeze...no worries! In fact, I told my husband that if Old Navy does have their annual...50% off clearance sale...I'm budgeting $50 (on our approved spending list)..and I'm going! Last year..I stumbled upon it at the end of Jan. I bought my husband $400 worth of clothing for around $70! You just can't beat that!
