-Impluse control-

Last weekend it was triple coupons at Harris Teeter and I didn't go! This was one of the things I was on the fence on regarding whether or not it was a need for me. Yay me!

-Confession-

When I went to Target for work pants for DH...it was 90% off Christmas and all control went out the window. I had it written down for the 6th of Jan. so I thought I was safe going on the 5th...

Who else has a confession and a moment of strength to share?

Impulse Control: I checked my email today and had some great sales sent right to my inbox and as I read them I thought "Good thing I'm on a spending freeze or I would have bought them" then clicked delete!! Woo Hoo!

My only confession is that I left my lunch in the fridge at home so I'll either be hitting the dollar menu or getting a frozen dinner from wal-mart for lunch today. But it will only be $1 expense so its not terrible.

Impulse Control: Left JoAnn Fabrics last night without a thing because they didn't have what I needed.

Confession: I got 2 candybars today - one for my kids to split, and one for myself.

Impulse Control: Yesterday I didn't leave the house or spend $ all day. I really like to leave the house at least once a day especially when DH is out of town like this week!

Confession: Today I had to get Pull-ups and saw that the Christmas was 90% off so I bought a bunch of little things. It only came to probably less than $3, but I had really wanted to "stick to the list." But 90%! Wow! (If only clearance didn't make me so giddy)

Impulse Control:

On sunday, on of my friends (who has an income 2.5x what we do) called. She was at Target, and they had the VSmiles on sale/clearance for $25 including the AC adaptor cord. She got one for her daughter as her son managed to break his after 2.5 years.. She wanted to know if I wanted to get one for my dd who is 6 mos older than hers. I said no. Didn't tell her why.. She then said that I could pay her back when I get my tax return back. I still said no.

Partly this was because of the spending freeze.. but also because I would then have to buy her some games... and probably an extra controler.. etc. She doesn't NEED it. Besides.. when I get my new computer with our tax $$ (mine is almost 9 years old) we will keep my old one, and set it up so it is hers.. It plays the 5 FREE computer games I got her at a garage sale just fine. so, she will be in 7th heaven! Not to mention that we will probably keep it hooked up to the internet so she can play on PBSkids to her heart's content too.

Spending Confessions:
2 hours later I decided that I was going to go to my Target to see if they still had any at the same price she got hers for. I had my keys in my hand, ready to go, and I couldn't find my dh to let him know I was going out for a bit. The reason why I couldn't find him??? He left to go get new calendar pages for his planner without telling me. So I couldn't go as he had our car.

Impulse Control: No choc. covered cinnamon bears for me at the grocery store! I also put back boxes of crackers - we'll make do.

Spending Confession: I probably should have made do with the meat I had in the freezer, but I bought some chicken and sausage at the store to make my dinner-making life easier. It wasn't really on sale or anything.
