I am DONE with Being Tired and ...I hate to admit it - LAZY!!
I have made so many poor Money choices this Past Yr. and almost all of them can relate back to my mood.
Whether it be me Being too Tired - so I Say , "lets order pizza"
Or Maybe it is Me, Being too Lazy to Get up and go downstairs to look at a Bill , I Think is due. And I Don't I think "I'll pay it tommorow" so... What happens? I forget to pay the Dumb thing and We end up having to Pay a late fee.
Or Maybe I am so Tired - I can't Make a Pot of coffee, But I Can get in the car and Drive to Get a Fresh Cup ??
Or I think " Oh well , I forgot the Library books that are due... But its only 15 cents a Day" Well 15 Cents x 5 books is 75 cents!! If I Do this 10 Times a Year , It is 7.50!
ALL FOR MY FORGETFULLNESS AND TIRDNESS!!
I Dont' Get up to Turn a light or a TV off , I Am too tired or too busy to Hang my Wash outside - So The Dryer is used 3 times a Day . This is all making my Electric Bill go up!! It may not be the Big part of the issue ( We do have electric heat that runs and Runs) BUT it contributes to it - And it is all just Nonsense.
I Need to Change Now!!
I thought Of myself as a Very Responsible Get up and Go kind of person Before. I have to start Rethinking all I Do again!

Don't feel to bad because i think we all get like this at times- I know i do!
I find that i am especially bad at this about making dinner. It's so much easy to grab something fast and unhealthy than to make a healthy dinner. I am also very bad about the bill thing to- I use to have a budget that follwed to a "T" not sure what happened there- but i do know that i am sick and tired of paying late fee charges on everything!
It's funny that you should mention this beacause this is one of the many things that i have vowed to change about myself! In fact i did sit down and make out our budget and so far so good! I think that sometimes we just have so much on our plates that it gets overwhelming! I know that somedays i feel like just the mere thought of having to do just one more thing makes me tired! Let alone actually having to do it!

I have been in that situation, and the only way I have found to have more
energy and not be so lazy, is to exercise.
It really does clear your head, you are more alert, active, more energy to do other
things, and it really does put you in a better mood!
However, everyday it's a struggle to get myself to exercise, but once i'm done, I feel great!

I know what you mean about the excercise! It does feel great once you do it!!
I am not really some Lazy zombie who sits around and Doesen't take the time to do anything ....
I am not Overly Tired - just General " I Don't feel like it" Kind of Tired you know??
I just Feel like this stuff has got to Stop- Because what is the point of saving Money , or my DH Making More money at work , only to "lose" so Much a Month Just with Poor Choices.
No, A few Late fees at the librbrary or eating out once in awhile- aren't Breaking us ... But I Have just Come to the Revelation that it is PLAIN and SIMPLE - very Dumb to live like this.
Seriously , I just Paid a 30.00 Bank Non sufficient Funds fee- Cause I forgot to Deduct Dh's Sirius Radio subscription Payment. Thats all - I Forgot!
We were short by about 2.89 or something - And I Was thinking we have our Normal 85.00 or so in checking....
We have a Savings account - where most of our Money sits - I did Have the money- I just diden't transfer it into Checking Where the bill is Taken from.
But Since I don't have Overdraft protection - it cost us 30.00
I Do now have overdraft protection- I did Call about that .
Thats still 2.00 a transfer though if they have to do it ..
So I cannot - "forget " these automatic payments again! !

you are lucky that you can now have the money transfered.
in my bank (WA. MUTUAL) they do not transfer money from saving
to checking.
you can have tons of money in your savings, but if you don't have the
money in your checking,
they'll pay it, but will charge you like ....$24 dollars , something like that.
LOTS OF MONEY, even though they have the money, just in another account.
That used to happen to me ALL THE TIME
I MEAN...ALL THE TIME.
somehow, through the years, i've become more OCD lol,
i have to write down EVERYTHING, and once it goes through and clears,
i have to HIGHLIGHT IT IN MY CHECKBOOK.
I THINK I NEED TO JUST ...RELAX A BIT!

Call wamu, we have it too and they do overdraft protection. There is still a fee, but it's $10 instead of $24. Of course, it helps to keep $ in my savings, there's $3.84 in that account right now, not very helpful with overdraft (still recovering from the holidays )
I've been there with feeling tired and lazy. I'll get the house clean and laundry done and then not feel like dealing with bills and dinner. Bills are such a downer this time of year too, the energy bill is so high, I just don't want to look at it. I'm especially bad on the days I babysit, when the baby leaves at 5, I just want something quick and easy for dinner. We don't usually eat take out, but I'll run down to the store and grab something like a frozen pizza, not in the food budget. One of my goals this year is starting to prep dinner earlier, if I cut up the veg and get the meat ready or in the CP throughout the afternoon, I don't have a good excuse to not cook it. I need to exercise every mornig too, I've been bad since Nov. I woke up this morning at 6 and it was pitch black outside and COLD. I need to get over it and go anyway, the dog and I would be much happier.

I know what you mean! I can be lazy too!
I used to be especially bad about dinners! I decided part of the problem was that DH is VERY picky - he'll eat whatever I cook, but if I can tell he's not thrilled about spaghetti then I'm like - What's the point? KWIM? SO, I would end up stairing into the fridge trying to figure out exactly what I should fix that might excite DH - I mean you can only have Taco's so many times right? I never had dinner ready when DH got home and when he'd ask 'what's for dinner?' I'd say 'I don't know' and he would say 'how bout Sonic, or Subway, or whatever...' Finally about 6 months ago I read Dave Ramsey and told him ENOUGH - if I couldn't figure out what to eat, and he couldn't figure out what to eat, we'd be eating cerial! SO, I started planning menus and actually shopping for the food so we could make anything on the menu... it's great! Of course we re-lapsed a bit over Christmas when he was home(we had Subway twice), but we'd REALLY gotten out of the habit of eating out - we rarely did! And to tell you the truth... I hardly missed it! I figured I might have to take the boys out for lunch to cheat a bit, but I really don't miss eating out! DH got out of the habit of suggesting eating out - he'll instead suggest meal ideas if dinner's not ready when he gets home! OH, and I used to say I HATE COOKING... now it's not so bad! I don't LOVE it, but it's not so bad!
As for the bill paying... I don't carry a check register anymore! Mine was ALWAYS a mess and I was always forgetting something! I have an excel spreadsheet (i can email you a copy if you're interested - just pm me)! I put estimates in there for all monthly income plus bills - I have it worked out thru the end of 08... I LOVE it! I can estimate how much I can put towards my car payment in Dec of 08!!! Of course it's likely to change - but it gives you a good idea! I love it!! Plus I'm constantly on the computer so I can look at it anytime! I balance it about once a day (just bold things as they go thru the bank)... so easy! I'm NEVER surprised with fees anymore!! I LOVE it! Of course DH and I don't carry credit cards or the debit card anymore and I just recently took the checks out of my wallet so that helps too! We're goin' 100% cash and LOVIN' it!
Anyway - I'm still a very LAZY person - I'm JUST starting to work out! We'll see how long that lasts! and I can push off housework with the best of them... but it's a work in progress! Some day I WILL be SUPERMOM!!!

I totally could have written your post. Especially "Order the Pizza" part. And yes, I've paid a late fee here and there because I didn't send something off a day earlier. It wasn't because of lack of money it was because I wasn't keeping up with things or I was completely disorganized and lost the bill!
It is something I know about myself and it is something that I continue working on!

I can understand being lazy and feeling tired. I work full-time then have to do things at home. However, we've developed "easy" meals like beef stew or garbage mac. Then sometimes I will use my crock pot or something of that nature.
The paying bills is something that I used to struggle with. Then I put all of my bills into Outlook. If it's in there I pay it on time without any problems. I do set reminders on some of the bills, but I've found this is the best thing. (I used to keep a paper copy as well in a little calander, but lately I don't use one). It keeps down the late fees and everything, and I do online baking a lot to help with that too.
Hope you can get some ideas.
