If I really don't like the product...yes I do send back..especially when there are recalls and stuff. I mean..it's not my fault. However..if I like to product...not that is dishonest. However...SOMETIMES...they do say.."Try Me for Free." I saw that once on a "Spray-n-Wash." You could actually buy the product and get a rebate anyway because they want to hook you onto the prodcut. Those are ok of course!

I will use the money-back guarantee if I don't like the product.

Yes it's wrong if you like the product. No it's not if you don't.

If there wasn't anything wrong with the product then I wouldn't try to get my money back. To me that just isn't right. In the end, too many returns/rebates etc. just jacks up the price for everyone in the future.
However if there truly was an issue or the product did not live up to it's guarentee then I would definitely send it in.
From your post it seems like in your heart you already know what to do!

Normally if I don't like the product, i just don't buy it anymore and don't ask for my money back.

But if the product is defected in some way, i will write/call the company. Several years ago, i was in the mood for stewed tomatoes. So I open the can and ate a few out of the can. Well what was left i poured in a bowl and there was "little black bugs" in the bottom of the can. So I cut the bottom off with the can opener and mail the lid back to the company, along with a letter.

For several years afterwards, i got all kinds of free coupons on products that the company made.

I would only obtain a refund if I was unhappy with the product. If I were in business, I wouldn't want dishonest customers, so I don't do it to them.

If I was satisfied with the product I would not. If for any reason I truly was not satisfied, I would not.

I have never done it with our Luvs diapers because I love them. Even if it would mean a free box of dipes, I don't think it's honest. Don't want bad karma.

Is it wrong to Use Money Back Guaretees?
I can not answer this one for you because I do not know you level of ethics. However, ask this question to yourself "Is it wrong to lie and steal?"

Now, if you truly disliked the product, then go for it and get your money back. But if the product was good and you liked it, then...

The the product didn't do as the company stated than yes I would ask for my money back. However if the product works and I like it I wouldn't do it.
