This is my only grocery shopping trip (errand day) during this spending freeze. I wanted to make it as bare bones as possible but we are out of EVERYTHING (of course ). Dd put the last roll of TP on last night, I have used the last sample of shampoo this morning, I am wearing (gasp) no deodorant because it's totally gone, I have a drip of laundry detergent left.... WHY does all this have to go during this month?? This I am Ok with buying, it's approved, it just would have been nicer if it could have waited.

In addition, DH (who is not quite all the way on board) wants me to get ingredients for Malts (definately not needed). Do I make him mad and crabby and "accidently" forget them, or just get it and chalk it up to him?? I am still far under my budget since I am going bare bones on the rest of my ingredients ~ do I rationalize it that way??

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I would get the stuff for the malts his cheaper than him running out to the local ice cream shop! Plus since like you said he is not on board 100% you should cut him some slack.

I have to go grocery shopping today also, and it seems like we have run out of everything also: toilet paper, dog food, laundry detergent, etc...I would go ahead and get the stuff your dh wants for the malts, especially since you have cut down on alot of other stuff! I agree that peace at home is worth it! Good luck!

I would get it for him. I bought DH's low carb, $4.00 per 1/2 gallon, never goes on sale ice cream at my last shopping trip. Crabby husbands make everyone crabby at my house.
