For most Part , I am a store brand or sale Brand Shopper! For Instance This Week " Store Brand" coffee is 2.88 - Maxwell house was on sale fot 2.50 - So I Bought the maxwell house.
Generic is Not always cheaper than name brand Alot of the times.

I Do However think their are coupon deals that are too Good to Pass up- and if they are easy and a No brainer .... I am all for it... Last Week There were so many Coupons all I Had to do was match the Coupons to Giants sales and I got 40.00 Worth of stuff for about 20.00.

I also can Make a Killing Using Coupons with CVS coupons and extra Care Bucks! That is actually Fun though!!

I DO NOT clip, sort or organize coupons though. I think that is So Much added stress - for Me! I have tried it and I Failed Miserably
I only cut the ones I am going to Use Right away Or I do Cut out Coupons for Certain items that I always use- I just Keep those in a Pile in my Daily planner.

Well to me coupons are definately worth it. Just the other day I saved $11 on stuff that I was going to buy anyway. Especially when you get a BOGO coupon and you can use a regular coupon too. Also you can get things free when they run sales. I had a $1 off coupon on Peter Pan and Walmart has Peter Pan for $1 - FREE. Plus, if you join a coupon train (shameless plug ) you can get coupons you like that others don't use and pass the ones you don't use on to others.

I just went shopping and used my coupons, My total was $71. after my coupons I paid $22.. I use them all the time and YES they save money. I only use what I usually buy, I don't buy something just because I have a coupon!

I use coupons and I love them. However with that being said I also use store brands that have no coupons. I think the best way for a coupon system is only save what you WILL use, it cuts down on the clutter. After you have used coupons for awhile you might try keeping more than that for a just in case moment. Also you might try keeping them in a check file folder that is small. I don't like the big binders. I tried them and it was way to much work for me.

Ah, a thread after my own heart. I use coupons and am totally for them. I have even started a coupon email each week for friends and friends of friends so they have an easier time matching up the sales with coupons. I don't mind some generic items, but there are some name brands that I prefer so I buy them when on sale with a coupon.

I couldn't sleep last night so I figured it out. I used $149.88 in coupons last week. I spent $15.25 appox. For all that I got,

14 large boxes of Klennex
2 L'Oreal makup
1 Almond Joy
1 Brownberry whole wheat bead
4 Tic tacks
4 packs gum
14 lbs chicken legs
5lbs Country Crock (I know it sounds disgusting, but it's cheaper then buying one small package)
16 cans Campbell's chicken noodle and tomato soup, about 1/2 of each
5 tubs of Huggies wipes
2 travel size wipes
8 huggies bath soap items
8 boxes of Kraft mac-n-cheese
40 soy joy bars
1 24ct box Excedrin

I did use $25.48 in ECBs at CVS, but I also earned $43 in ECBs so it seems like a far trade.
I try to only buy the items that I need and want, but at times I will buy other items if they give me an overage to use on items that I need. Perfect example is the soyjoy bars at CVS. I used $10 in ECBs and got back $20.

My DH would definitely say clutter! I say both! It just depends. When it's triple coupon time, I definitely bring them out and save!!! Also, I watch for sales that I can use a coupon with for things I'm needing that makes it cheaper than the generic. Otherwise, I usually don't use the coupons and go for whatever would be cheapest period. Thus, my husbands theory----all those coupons and just clutter!

I actually enjoying couponing. Right now I'm in a complete standstill, but I find when I really concentrate and focus on sales and coupons I do quite well. I shop at BJ's alot, because it's more convient for me, and they except coupons. They also mail out packet or coupon book, and I will use my coupons as well. Sometimes I end up getting stuff for pennies on the dollar. Deodorant, dish detergent, applesause, Peanut butter, cereal. I do much better there then in the grocery store.

However, I have given up going here and there. I just see where I can do the best at in one store. It's usually, Giant, Superfresh or Shop Rite and of course CVS.

If anyone needs coupons I'd be happy to forward what I do have, because I'll never be able to use them all since I'm using my stock pile up.

To simplify life and not add to the clutter - I am not a coupon freak. I clip on Sunday morning and keep in an envelope. I take them with me for my weekly trip (if I go a few extra times in the week I don't take them with me). If I see something on sale I make a point to try to find my coupon for that item. I tend to save about $5-$8/week. Not tons of money - however - that is with very little effort and it is worth it to me!!

The coupon train helps tons - I get great coupons in there that help me out. If I relied on my Sunday paper I don't think it would be worth it to me.

Couponing is very doable. But I don't do it anymore. I used to when I was less concerned about nutrition. I used to when I paid for the newspaper. I used to when the stores doubled and I used to when the stores took online coupons.

I spend far less on groceries now, but I am not blaming the coupons for that. I just drastically changed how and what we eat. We still eat really well and are healthier.

coupons, I believe, are like any other avenue you can take to save money....you will gain from it as much as you apply yourself to it.

Utilize it like other things...they are BIG money savers when combined with BOGO sales!!
