I could eat plain buttered noodles 3 times a day, but there are some things i just don't like - no matter how frugal they are. KWIM?

My top "frugal " food that I just won't buy is ramen noodles. DH likes them, so I always have them in the house - but I hate to buy them. Ramen noodles for me is depressing. In my mind I get depressed just looking at them. We've eaten a lot of ramen in our day and I'm just done with them - they scream "I only have $5 for food this week" to me - been there done that!

It's like that Gone With the Wind thing "I'll never eat ramen again!" We eat a ton of frugal food, but I just have such feelings about the ramen... Yes I am nuts! Anyone else have a frugal food they just won't eat?

Spam, but that's not really frugal It's like near $3 a tin here.. UGH yuck

I can only tunafish one way (tuna noodle casserole) and only like once a year, so I guess that'll be my pick.

I love ramen Noodles! They are a comfort food Of My [happy] Childhood. My mom Only bought them every Few Weeks , so To me they were just a Favorite lunch! Not a cheap meal!
I only realized When I First Bought them yrs. ago - how Cheap they are!!

I seriously Hate cheap Frozen Meals ( Freezer queen?) , Generic Mac and Cheese, kool-aid , Chicken Hot Dogs ( GROSS - But on sale alot for 69 cents) , Cheap store brand white Bread. These things I Wouldn't eat even if they were free. They just taste empty To Me- I don't Know.....

I like ramen noodles too...never ate them growing up...discovered them in college.

beans and cornbread. My husband loves this for dinner but to me it just screams "all I have left is a can of beans and cornmeal".

I would have to go with Ramen noodles too. I never ate them growing up and when I got on my own that was all I could afford. The thought of them makes my stomach turn. I had some in my pantry still a couple years ago and threw them away. Couldn't even look at them anymore. I do like cheap white bread and bologna I hate to admit.
