We only have 3 in our family so that makes a huge difference in how often we really go and how much we would really save.

If you don't go often or buy much then it's not worth it. I have the executive membership at costco and it's worth it for us, we are there every week-it saves me over $50 a year on milk alone and since we have the executive we get "cash" back, which pays for the next year's membership and money back.

Is there anyone that you could split a membership fee with? My mom and I split one fee (since you get two cards). My dad's work used to pay for his and then they stopped and my husband and I realized that we both didn't need a card because it was usually me or the both of us going same with my mom and dad. We split the $35 cost and it works well. Just a thought...

We also spit a membership and some of the things we buy. When you spit it 4 ways it isn't to bad.

The closest Sams is 30 minutes away and we don't save anything by going there. But my SIL who is married but no children, shops at the one close to her (closer than ours is) all the time. But they buy mostly name brand products so they save that way. We buy mostly generic and because of our budget we don't buy in bulk often so it's not moneywise for us to shop there.

Do what you think is the best for you guys.
