Sears is advertising a 20% off sale on appliances this Saturday. I have no idea about what dryers are good deals or anything, but thought of you...

This probably won't help you much. My dryer is an 11YO Kenmore, and still going strong. We use to have a matching washer, but it died last year. So, now we have a top-loading GE washer -- the front-load washer wouldn't fit in our utility room.

My husband repairs appliances for a living. A majority of dryers can have the door reversed so that it will open on the other side. OPen the dryer door and see if there are 4 "caps" on the opposite side where the hinges could be installed. That will tell you if it can be reversed.
