Dh's car would not start this morning. Of course I thought it was the battery since the car has 210,000 miles on it and we have never replaced the battery (we bought it new). Unfortunately, its not It is going to cost us $650 to fix it and we won't have it back until tomorrow afternoon. Dh had to reschedule his out of town dr appt, too. Ick!!! It will have to go on the Visa, but at least we can pay that part off at the end of the month when dh gets his bonus. Ugh!!! I did have other things I would have liked to use that money for. Dh reminded me though, that it is only 2 months car payment, which we don't have anymore. So, it is still waaaay cheaper to fix it then replace it.

That is awful! Doesn't it always seem that the car "knows" when that extra money is coming in? Or at least ours does. I did find out yesterday that ours needs to struts ... $350.00. I can at least put that off for a bit longer.

Your DH sounds like mine. Mine is driving a car with 150,000 miles on it, no air conditioning, only one speaker works, first gear is gone but he also says it is much cheaper than getting a new car.

I am sorry you don't have the money right now but it sounds like it won't have to sit on a CC for long so that is something to be grateful for.
