Wow. Even your water is flavored? What's wrong with just drinking water? I have pop at holidays or if we're at someone's house & they offer it (altho I still just take water 9 times out of 10), or if we're entertaining & have it on hand to offer guests. I do have a cup of coffee in the AM & know a lot of people who don't like coffee or tea opt for pop as their wakeup drink....but I can't imagine drinking that much pop!

I grew up drinking diet pepsi like water. As a teen I switched to Mtn Dew and coffee. I drink diet coke now, not because I like the taste, but because I have to have some kind of soda and cant handle the sugar anymore.
I want to stop drinking soda too. It's expensive and bad for me.

I'd go cold turkey if I was you. Think of the money you save not to mention the health benefits, I'll bet you will loose a ton of weight if you drop the soda!!

I don't drink soda, but I do drink too much sweet tea, probably 3 glasses a day. I'm trying to cut that back to water. I guess that's why I don't give my kids anything but milk or water, I don't want them getting addicted to the sweet taste of other drinks.

Well my fav. is Dr. Pepper. I used to drink about 2-3 cans a day. When I got pregnant I cut it down to only 1 every couple days when I REALLY craved one. Then I just started buying my dh 12 packs of diet coke to take to work, and I started only buying myself a 2 liter Dr. Pepper. That was after the baby was born, and I mainly started cutting down because of the price. Now that I'm at home I drink more water, coffee, and tea.

Our soda here in my state isn't too expensive- not any more expensive than any sort of replacement I could buy-crystal lite, sugar free kool-aid. ect.

usually I can find 5 12 packs for 11.00- so 2.20 a 12 pack- bottled water ( name brand) is about that I think. We don't have CRV, so that helps keep the costs down too.

So I can't complain about the cost, or the sugar, because I drink diet, but oh my, the diet coke addiciton is strong. I htink though, more than the soda, it's the BUBBLES I'm addicted to- I just really crave bubbly fizzy drinks. I could substitite the diet coke with diet sprite, diet squirt, whatever, but I need the bubbles.

I tried club soda- oh my that stuff is nasty. I think there is baking soda in it. bleh.

so I'm trying to cut back anyway, because it just can't be good for me to have that much nutrasweet. I bought 12 packs of caffiene free stuff this time, and I hope to try to cut back from there. I'm going to try to go to bottled water.
