We al know list save time & Money..we all probably make lists but I got this tip from a COUPON QUEEN that was on TV a long time ago.

MAKE YOUR OWN PERSONAL PRINTABLE GROCERY LISTS.

I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THOUGH IT MAY TAKE A LITTLE TIME AT FIRST IT WILL BE WORTH THE TIME EVERYTIME YOU GO TO THE STORE.

What you do is you get a mental picture of your store (or go there if you can't remember where things are) and write down Aisle by Aisle what you normally buy then you make a check list. Then you go home and type it up. During the week you keep these lists on the fridge as you run out of things you just check them.

If you check the sales ads and find some great deals that is not on your list you put that on the bottom under Special Items.

The list keeps you focused on what you really need and it saves time.

I have finished my Save ALot one and tested it and it does work great for me. Now I am going to do my Krogers one next week after I finish up my AVON income taxes. I started with the smaller store first to make sure I liked it and it was worth my time.

I will try to attach it..It may totally scramble it but you get the idea..anyone do this already???

The list I have is in neat columns like the aisles in the store...

I have friends that do this but have never tried it myself -- does anyone else make this sort of list?

I do pretty well at just writing out a list every month. I go to 3 different stores with one list. I first buy whatever I can at Aldi's then on to Sam's club then I get what is left at HyVee, so it would be really hard to organize by aisle. I think the main thing is that everyone should have a system that they know really well.

I have a list kind-of like that. It is broken down by Dairy, Veggies, Canned food, meat, etc. This way no matter what store I am in it works. I also have included a space to write what I need from Wal-Mart and Sams. I don't have a check list for them I just write what we are out of.

I am a list kind of person. If I don't have it listed somewhere I forget.

I break down my list like Dairy, meat, canned items, bakeing goods, cleaning, personal, pets, frozen, snacks, produce and then mis.

I type in out on the computer and then print off a copy and put on my ref. as I run out of stuff I add it under the correct heading.

It really helps and I check it off as I add it to the buggy, really helps to make sure that I have everything on my list and If I don't need anything in a certain category, then I don't have to go to that section of the stores. And that saves on unnecessary buying.

I have been using for a couple of weeks. I post it on the message board and HD has to just check off if he needs something or notices that we are running out of something. Much easier than trying to hunt him down on Sundays for the inevitable "i don't know".
