Yesterday I stopped at Goodwill. It was buy 1 get 2 free on anything orange so I got 3 shirts and a skirt all for my girls for free. I also found 4 t-shirts for my oldest that had no stains or holes (2 are Gap). Then I found a Magic Tree House book for $.39. I love it when I find good deals.

There's a goodwill here about an hr away. I liked the store and the selection but alot of the shirts were 5 or 6 dollars all by themselves. I could get that from WalMart new. I couldn't really find much that was all that much cheaper than WalMart at the one here. That's great that you were able to find stuff though!

I ADORE thrift store shopping. For me, it's the thrill of the hunt. My best bargain ever came from Goodwill. I got a $100+ Step Two slide for $15. All it needed was a good cleaning and it looked as good as new! I know when my kids are done with it I will be able to sell it at a profit.

Great buys! My best find was a jogging stroller for $15 at Goodwill. We have gotten a lot of use out of it!

It pays to know your prices. There are some reasonably priced things, but like SouthernJewishMama, I've also found stuff priced the same as or more than new items on sale.

We have 2 Goodwill stores in our town, and when I am not on a spending freeze I frequent them often. Infant-6X sizes are only 49 cents, which is cheaper than most garage sales around here. My best kids' clothes deals were 2 Gymboree sweater dresses in perfect condition...49 cents each! At least half of my and my children's wardrobe is from Goodwill, and most people would never guess. I also love that Target clearance that doesn't sell or gets returned ends up at Goodwill, and I can get new clothes for even cheaper than Target's 75% off racks!
