TurboTax Intuit is offering TurboTax 2007 Standard and Deluxe for FREE (e-file included), Premier for $20, and Home & Business for $45.

TurboTax® Free Online Edition - Free Tax Software, Free Tax Filing, Free eFile

Wow, in the past three years, I've been paying them $9 for the e-filing. This year I can get it for FREE! Great! Heihei, think about the tax I'll get back this year!... hmmm, yummy...

This post jogged my memory! A few weeks ago, I learned that we could file our taxes with Turbo Tax for free because we are customers of State Farm Insurance. DH was a bit skeptical, but I had him check it out and it worked! Saved some money! woo-hoo!!

File Your 2007 Income Tax for Free

I was on this board on Friday and happen to see this post about free turbo tax filing with State Farm. Well, I am a State Farm customer for everything dealing with insurance. I was originally using Turbo Tax through my credit union and I entered everything and then I had to exit for some reason. It was going to cost me almost 85.00 for federal and state. When I went back in to check something, everything was gone. I sat on everything for about a week until I saw this post on Friday. I signed up through State Farm, entered everything again and only paid 21.20 for federal and state. You gotta love Mommysavers.

Thanks for this information.

My dh tried registering our accounts today, but he hasn't gotten an email telling him it's been set up. How long did that take for you all to get? We have to have our taxes filed before Fri.

My dh said he registered us on State Farm's website and received email confirmation a few minutes later. Then, he logged on to State Farm's site and clicked the link to download Turbo Tax for free. You still have to pay for the electronic filing, which came to about $35 for us, or you can print it and mail it in.

Sounds like my dh is doing something wrong. Guess I'll have to figure it out.
