I saved $27 dollars grocery shopping between coupons and sales. 45%. Would have been more, but everytime I take my husband to the store, I end up with extra stuff in the cart. I had a problem with huggies diapers recently and they sent me coupons for $5 off kimberly clark products. Since Cottonelle is Kimberly Clark and the 12 pack double rolls were on sale for $5.50, I picked us up toilet paper for the next few months.
I registered my new Marsh and Kroger card with Upromise.
I also did not get a soda at Marsh to drink well shopping which I typically do.

I made my own ketchup! I'm trying to avoid high-fructose corn syrup, so was disappointed when I couldn't find any ketchup in the store without it. So, instead, I bought one of those big restaurant-size cans of tomato sauce for $2.89. I found a recipe on the internet (sugar, vinigar, spices) and made about 4 quarts. DH says it's pretty good! I'll put 3 qts. in the freezer and refill the old ketchup bottle with the other. Now my house smells like a ketchup factory - should have done it on a warmer day with windows open.

I made lasagna with homemade ricotta cheese. I made it early so I could bring somewith me to work for dinner, rather than go down stairs to the cafeteria. I used up some saltine crackers and peanut butter for the boys snack this afternoon and mixed up some koolaid for them. that is it for today. I am at work most of the day so can't do much during the week. I am trying to focus on using what i have on hand rather than buying stuff all the time.

I'm going to the library this evening to get movies that are on hold ~ this saves me from either buying them or renting them. My son also loves to go and play with the puzzles and puppets they have there.

On Monday's Redbox will send a free code to your cellphone - so last night I got a free movie. Today when we return it after school, I'm going to use a McDonald's coupon for a free cookie for my DD for our mommy & daughter time.
