I don't like that it takes so long for the clothes to dry. I've put two or three big dry towels in there trying to help things along, it still takes two or three times thru a cycle to get them dry.

I love my front loading machines!!! And I do laundry every single day!

I have the Kenmore machines. I just had a tune-up where a tech comes and takes off the front of the dryer and vacuums everything up. It really helped with the drying time. I was amazed at the amount of lint, esp since I clean the lint trap every single time. The techs won't do the vent hose portion though, so I have to do that myself. Or be really, really nice to DH.

With the washer, I leave it the door open a bit at night and it seems to take care of that musty smell.

Good Luck!

I hate our Calypso washer because it leaves a lint and sometimes a soap film especially on my dark clothes. I then end up doing an extra rinse cycle. My whites are turning dingy and I hate using bleach because for the next several loads there are bleach marks on the clothes. Towels and jeans take literally hours and hours to dry. I didn't save myself any money in the long run with the extra water for the rinse cycle and the electricity it takes to dry things.

I have an LG and I love it. I will never go back to a regular. My clothes never smell musty, it spins them so well that they are almost dry. If anyone is havening trouble with an HE dryer not drying in one cylce you need to call for help, that should not be happening.
