So now is the time to start checking into those fun FREE Easter activities!

I just signed my youngest up for this one egg hunt in our area that is a really nice egg hunt (yes- you need to register!), they give a nice grab bag (with free meal vouchers, toys and so on) have inflatables and many different activities for the kids.

I must say that I always get excited when Easter comes- that is the kick off to fun free/cheap family activities in this area (there is a few in Winter time- but not as many!)!

I'm also starting to be on the lookout for free/cheap family entertainment. I look in The Penny Saver that comes every week. As far as Easter goes there is a Easter Egg hunt at a mansion downtown. I also saw that our Nature Center is doing a program for preschool aged kids to learn about how maple syrup is made and they get to try it on ice cream at the end of the program.

Our church will have an Easter egg hunt before Easter, but that's probably all we'll do for our youngest.

I am hosting my own egg hunt and we have everyone pitching in a little so we are using group funds.

We are avoiding doing the easter photos and there are tons of free hunts in every area,
It has been a tradition that we do a back yard egg hunt. My parents hide eggs for all the kids a few times. once for the little ones and once for the big ones (anyone under 40)

QUESTION
What web site or how do you find the stuff that will be going on around your area? I am in Downey, California.... How do you search and know what is better than the other?

I look forward to Easter too, because it means spring is almost here! Our church has a great egg hunt we go to, and our local senior center has visits and breakfast with the Easter bunny- all free! It is so nice, the kids (and the seniors) love it

happy mommy, I find mine in the weekly free newspaper, my city's website, my city's recreation spring papmlet, and our free weekly community news paper.. (I live in STL county so it might be easier here)...

You can call your recreation center and ask.
