Last summer, I bought a pair of snow boots for $2 at Goodwill. Love em!

All my DS shoes are second hand... I either get from Goodwill or Consignment Sales.. I just got him like 4 pairs of Robeez for 2.00 a pair, and 1 pair of Nike Tennis shoes size 4 for 2.00! Cant beat that, he grows out of them in months anyway...

As for myself it just depends if I find something NICE and CLEAN at a yard sale or goodwill Ill pick up them.. But most of time adults shoes seemed to be more worn out then the kids ones.. I guess cause kids grow out of them faster then they can destroy them...

Yes, I have on occasion for myself and my family, but I do a complete inspection of them, I check the bottom of them, the inside, how the arch support is, you can usually tell how worn used shoes are and if they are worth getting or not.

Yes, I do for both me and the kids. I come across so many at garage sales that are hardly worn, maybe just once or twice. I have hardly ever bought myself new shoes.

I answered yes but only once and it was a pair of soccer shoes for my then 5 yr old, The looked like they had never been used and I figure if they had I bet it was VERY little so I went with them!

I have handed down snow boots that were not worn too often from my oldest to youngest!

I do, and have saved a ton of money this way. Kids feet just grow so fast!! I just spray them with a little Lysol - the only thing I use Lysol for - and they're germ-free. If they are canvas tennis shoes, I have washed/bleached those before too. So, yeah. I do buy used most of the time. Except this Christmas, my DD got 7 pair of NEW shoes/boots/slippers!!

splash boots yes....swim shoes yes....other then that no....too hard for my kids to conform to someone else's shoes and it would hurt their feet....

no way when feet sweat bacteria is created in shoes... also my kids have very flat feet no arches and they need good shoes that have not been worn down on any part of the insole in order to get a good fit that is good for their feet.. this is one area i will not skimp on. most pediatricians also will not recommend hand me down shoes.

I wouldn't buy used shoes...I don't even like using bowling shoes!

I wouldn't buy them for DS either, but we did get a few pairs of hand me down baby shoes from my best friend that I'll probably put on him. They're newborn sizes so I'm not too worried about them being contoured to his feet or sweaty grime.
