What frugal things are you doing this week?

-Tonight I'm packing a picnic type of supper so we don't eat out in between dance classes tonight.
-Got 2 more movies from the library for free.
-Friday night dd's elementary school is having a free gym/swim at a local high school. We can go swimming or play games like basketball for 1 1/2 hours.
-I'm volunteering at the school's book fair so I will get a coupon for money off if I buy something.
-Oil change apointment later this week, and I'll use a coupon.

I have my menu planned for the week, and all supplies in the pantry or freezer.
Dh has his officer's meeting tomorrow night at the fire station and they get dinner there. LOL!
I plan to bag my lunch at the paid gig all week.

My oven is broken so we aren't being very frugal this week. New oven on Saturday. I can't wait.

I am going to

Use up bananas on the brink and made some banana bread.

Take back a shirt that I purchased for myself (on sale, of course), but that I don't like as much as I thought I did.

Doing some early X-mas shopping by using coupons from ACMoore for a toy for DS. ACMoore is very close to the clothing store, so I'll combine errands to save on gas.

Planning our menus to use what we have in the house instead of buying anything else.

Going to the used paperback store to turn in some books for credit that I'll use at another time.

Declutter and take some clothing to the consignment shop and Goodwill.

Dh and I both work all week. I will take my own pop and probably pretzels to work so I am not tempted to buy anything to snack on. I am working on getting all my meals planned out for the week. I will make up a batch of breakfast burittos and hot pockets tomorrow and freeze. I do not plan on going to the store this week.

I planned my meals for the week based on what we already have in the pantry.
I am checking out some movies from the library for a movie and popcorn night this weekend.
I am going to a church function on Thursday and brunch is provided. It is actually my turn to take something so I found a recipe to use that has ingredients I have on hand.
I am only going to the play dates and events that are close to home to save on gas.

This week I'm:

*only buying necessities from the store and cooking mostly from our stockpile
*using up fresh produce in the day or two after buying it, since it goes bad so quick
*netflix movies for entertainment (ongoing every week)
*painting and misc crafts for fun with DDs
*playing a board game or two each night (great family time and free)
*unpaper towels, cloth napkins, and cloth tissues (we have colds)
*cloth diapers and wipes (this really saves a lot of money and we've been in the same diapers for over a year now)
*mama cloth (also saves a lot of money and I LOVE it)
*combining errands on Friday when DD has a Dr appt in town

*planning our garden and Spring chick order (not saving any $$ this week, but prepping now will save a lot later )

1. combined trips to town (saved $9 on gas)
2. packed lunches for DS and I (saved $15)
3. ordered free gift card from my AM EX rewards program to use as a gift (saved $25)
4. baked my own bread (saved $5)
5. turned off heat on sunny days and opened south-facing blinds to take advantage of solar heat ($6 per day x 4 days = $24)
6. mixed up some homemade cleaners (saved about $6)

I could still do better. I need to get in the habit of using coupons.
