Do you buy the Easter outfits for your kids or do just have them wear nicer looking clothes? Do you put a limit on the number of items in the Easter basket? Do you do anything special to save money on the Easter meal?

I found nice looking dresses at Kohls that they will be able to wear elsewhere throughout the spring and summer months.
I bought all the goodies for the Easter baskets at Dollar Tree, and I reuse the baskets each year.
I have heard that the spiral ham at Aldi's is great.

I saved the 10% coupon from my grocery rewards for my Easter dinner shopping. I will also try to do a big trip w/the coupon. Every bit helps!

I reused baskets and bought them thing they need for summer..bubbles, swim shirt and sunglasses.

I bought them new matching Easter dresses at Walmart. They are simple enough to wear all spring/summer. However, my 2 yr old decided to protest dresses.. so I bought her a new capri outfit today. She will get a lot of use out of it.

I use the same woven baskets I got at Walmart a few years ago every year. I just put in a small amount of candy and the twins are getting a coloring book with crayons and my older son is getting a sport tee shirt. My boys I usually dress in khaki's which they already have and a casual pol style shirt which they already have. I got my daughter a sleeveless summer dress which is casual. For Easter she can wear her sweater over it and then wear it later in the summer without the sweater. My daughter is a tomboy so I did not/will not spend alot on a dress for her!

We re-use the same Easter baskets (although I have to buy a new one for the baby this year - he was just a few days old last Easter, so we didn't do a basket for him). I also buy things only on clearance for the Easter baskets. This year, kids are getting pj's, toothbrushes and toothpaste, DD is getting Belle and the Beast stuffed dolls ($3.00 ea. at Disney clearance) and DS is getting Little People animals that were on clearance after Christmas. DD is also getting sunglasses (clearance at the Disney store). She is getting some candy that I got for free in last week's Hershey's deal at CVS. DD is wearing last year's outfit again this year - it's adorable and it still fits. DS's outfit was purchased at the consignment shop over several visits. I paid $8.50 for Baby Gap khakis and a button-down blue oxford-cloth shirt during one visit and got a navy/light blue/yellow Talbot's kids sweater vest FREE because I purchased three other items that were pricier ($4.50 each instead of the $4.00 that the vest was priced). I also purchased egg dye on clearance last year, so we'll use that this year.

we got rid of the baskets a few years ago and instead bought easter bags from the doolar store...they are not huge and they fold flat when done with them so easier to store too...they do not get outfits special but wear something nice they have already...candy/chocolate comes from the dollar store and they each get something...ds a book from the series he is reading and dd got a little webkins..they only things not from the dollar store ( they will also get new toothbrushes too...i got them on sale months ago and stockpiled them up)

*I never buy new clothes for Easter
*I take a snapshot myself instead of taking the kids to get their picture taken at a studio
*I reuse all the plastic eggs and baskets from previous years
*Quit coloring real eggs (my kids won't eat egg salad or anything, so they get thrown away)
*Fill the eggs to be hunted with loose change...a lot cheaper than candy, doesn't rot teeth, and the kids can save it up for something they really want.
*I NEVER host the family dinner. Driving 4 hours round trip, even with gas as expensive as it is, is MUCH cheaper cheaper (and less work) than playing histess to 7 extra people.

Can you say Grandma!

Ok my mom buys the girls Easter dresses.
We are going easy with the meal my mom was in shock when we all said Lasagna for easter sunday.
Again dying eggs at Grandma's so no cost to us then hiding real eggs so no need to fill them.
Non candy things in the easter basket, new socks and sunglasses are going in my girls.
