We haven't had channels in almost 5 years. We do have a TV and a DVD player and a subscription to Netflix.

My first rabbit ears were an extension cord split in two. Now, we have digital ears. Plug it in to the wall (but still has ears). HEHE

I'm another one that never had cable. We don't watch TV enough to make it worthwhile.
People sometimes laugh when they walk into my house and see the rabbit ears. I just ordered my coupon for the analog converter so I will still be able to get some reception after next February.

We dropped our cable back in November. The only shows I really miss are "Whose Line?" and "Law & Order: SVU"...Now I only get to see SVU once a week. I do miss TLC and HGTV too, though.

I think I'm gonna cry now...

Oh, ETA: I also have an antenna. Just one. With aluminum foil at the top of it!! LOL

If it were up to me, I would get rid of our dish. I hardly ever watch tv, except the basic channels I could get anyway, and my kids have plenty of dvds, plus PBS is free. BUT....DH would go crazy if we got rid of it. I figure we really don't go out and do anything, so I guess that's our entertainment budget.

No cable here. Lovely rabbit ears adorn our TVs. The fuzzy television reception is a running joke in our house.

We don't have cable, rabbit ears here also!!! I'm happy to see we are not alone in our strange world

With the antenna we get about 4 to 5 channels, depending on the weather!! Kids have plenty of DVDs and we rent some at the librairie and video store. We have been without cable for 6 years now. I miss 60min. on Sunday nights (but with the kids I don't think I could watch it anyway, and I miss Oprah (I check her website and get info there).

Most of our friends think we are weird because we don't have cable & because we only have one TV in our house. Now the big thing with everyone is to get flat screen TVs and the box (I don't know what it's called???) that makes you able to watch shows whenever you want, no commercials, and you can stop and start has you wish. I find this is very expensive entertainment. If you think about it, we really cannot afford this. It's like TV has become a basic need in our society instead of a luxury item. Bla Bla Bla You can tell I'm passionate about this thing

my sister did( does that count?)...her hubby accidently sliced through their line and it was going to cost almost $200 for the cable company to come and repair it( it sits three inches under the grass)...so he said no...its been almost three years for them...they bought rabbit ears( from a thrift store) and they can get 5 channels with them...they do not miss it at all and he bill went to nothing so the money she saves she puts into a special account to help pay the mortgage down once a year..its not that much but its a start.
