Does anyone know where I could get a good deal on Similac? We recently had to switch my daughter to the Similac RS to help with her spitting up. This formula is new and only comes in the 32 oz ready made bottle. We will go through aprox 7 a week at this stage. They cost like $6.35 so that's over $45 a week just for formula when before I was able to buy a generic powder and it cost me aprox $13 a week. Thankfully this week I found 6 $5.00 off Similac coupons -- Thank goodness I'd stashed this away and found them as we just moved.

Any tips on saving $$ is much appreciate. I've been looking for where I can buy in bulk and save. so far no luck where it is much of a savings.

Thanks!

Sometimes you can get an extra large can of Similac at Target for $26. My DD drinks Similac Sensitive and that never goes on sale. But I have found it twice at Target on sale for $26 for the extra large can.

Have you tried craigslist or ebay? Every once in a blue moon I will find it at a decent price at my local grocery stores too. And sometimes at Wal Mart.

Another tip would be to ask your pediatrician for some at each visit. They get freebies from the manufacturers and so they usually have a bunch of the small cans of formula in a closet somewhere. Just ask, it can't hurt to do so. And sometimes they will have coupons or checks from the manufacturer too.

I was just now cleaning up my closet and have 2 $2.50 Similac checks. PM me your address and I will send them to you.

Also, in BRU when you check out, they sometimes give coupons. I will check and mail them if I find them.

Thanks for the tips! I have gotten the bigger cans of Similac at Target before -- good deal. Now that she's on the Similac RS it only comes in the ready made liquid form. I have signed up for Similac coupons on Similacs website and not seen anymore coupons -- I normally get like one $5 off coupon a month. I am so THANKFUL to those that have sent me coupons they don't use. Every lil bit helps a lot!! Thanks Christy'smom -- I sent you a PM with my address.

Thanks again!!

Not only sign yourself on the Similac website but also all your friends and family. Then they can give you their coupons.

This may be a long shot, but see if your ins. company may pay for it since it is necessary. DS was put on Similac Alimentum and someone suggested we try this. We have crappy ins. so I figured it would be a no-go but I called and after some researching, the ins. co. would pay for the RTF (not powder though) and I would get a 30 day supply for a $50 copay. And they were the regular sized RTF bottles too, so I would get 30 of them! I just had to have the pedi right it on a Rx pad and took it to the pharm. just like any Rx. Worth a try!
