For fine jewelry, I generally go to a jeweler, although I have a few nice pieces from Macy's. My MIL has given me some lovely silver pieces she bought from QVC that are quite nice. DH has picked up some pretty silver rings for me from overstock.com. For costume/casual silver jewelry, I might go to Parisian, Macy's, Nordstrom. I would only buy jewelry from Kohl's or Target if it were for a child or just something really casual/funky/fun cheap stuff for a vacation.

I've gotten some from Walmart and some for our local jeweler. My diamond is from walmart. The diamond is pretty, it's the construction of the band that isn't as great, but that's the price range I needed.

Is it fine jewelry (gold? diamonds?) or nice, but costume jewelry? I like to buy my fine jewelry from an actual jewelry store, they will have better selection on diamonds and probably carry something over 14k gold. But I did purchase some beautiful gold earrings at JcPenny last summer and I love them!!!
