Dh works across the 5 lanes highway we live on and down the road just a tiny bit.He is going through about $15.00 a week and I am so happy he works so close to home. When he gets to work he drives a company truck for the whole day.

I drive the kids to school and go through much more.We use my Suv for going grocery shopping and doing everything together. We have no choice but to drive places. We live right in town so everything is so close for us.

I wish the gas prices were not so high but nothing we can do about it.

I am learning to do everything at once on one day but I still slip up and go places when I really should not.I get so bored and want to leave the house!I need to stop it.

Well, 3 days a week dh commutes 60+ miles each way. There is nothing we can do about that, though he does have a small fuel efficient car. I drive 10 miles each way to work, but that will only be until summer, then I can save some there. We try not to drive to other towns too often. We try to save up all our errands and run them at the same time. Otherwise we just have to suck it up!! Luckily, I was able to fill up for $3.03 today!

We will be driving more selectively. This summer, DD won't be in dance class, so that's one hour-long trip (not sure of the mileage - it's mostly through city-like traffic) that won't occur. We will also probably not do any extra running around. We're driving to WI to see my family this summer. In the past, we've spent about $150 on gas. This year we're budgeting $800 and hoping that's enough.

In town gas here is $3.45. At our little gas station down the road it is $3.54. The higher gas prices will mean dh will be making less trips home this summer.

I am seriously thinking of quitting my Weight Watchers job because of it. It is a 50 miles round trip commute to get to it and they don't pay me enough in mileage. I would hate to do it, but it might be a necessary evil.

As far as our summer plans, I don't know.

I'm going to keep shopping locally. A lot of people in our community drive 100 miles round trip because they "save on groceries" at Wal-Mart. I figure that with the price of gas so high and all the extras of going to the "big city", it evens out paying a little more for groceries in our own town.

I rarely drive. The weather is getting nicer and I can walk more if I need to. I do make the 60 mile round trip every 2-4 weeks for groceries because it is still cheaper to drive to Walmart than shop locally for my family.

What does $4.00 gas prices mean for me? Nothing.

It really makes not much difference to us. It sucks, yes. So we probably won't make quite as many long trips with our travel trailer, since when pulling it, our truck gets a whopping 8 miles to the gallon. If we go on a 5 hour trip, it could cost us HUNDREDS just for gas to get there an back. But as far as our daily life, it really only means a little more per month. I filled up today for $3.09. Cost me about $36. It's only like 5 dollars more a week than usual....not even that much. That, and i really only have to fill up once every two weeks anyway.

To Me 4.00 Gallon of gas Just Means I Will be paying
1.20 More Per gallon than We were Paying Last Yr. this Time.

I Googled it - gas was About 2.81.

Yeah I wish Gas Were 97 Cents again , Of Course .... But I am not too Worried about My Gas Fill up costs. I really only go Places out Of Necessity anyway.

I am worried about all the Prices of everything going up due to this though.
