I think this was posted here before:
littlebrowndress.com

This is the journal/story of a young mother who did something to stand up against commercialism/the fashion industry. She wore only one "little brown dress" for a whole year and recorded people's responses.

Anyway, I was intrigued by her project. I contacted her and she's willing to do an interview with me for an web article. Just wondering if you ladies can help me think of some interesting/insightful questions for her...

This is a fascinating topic- can you imagine?

I want to know: what did her family think? Were they embarrassed, especially the kids?

DId she wash the dress every night? What was it made of?

Was she sorry when the year was over?

Did it feel "liberating" or did she come to hate the dress?

Would she do it again?

I read some bits and pieces of her journal on line... what a hoot!

Did she ever get bored ? I mean, I tried to wear scrubs to work every day for 9 months and had to start wearing real clothes on Fridays. It was monotonous (sp?)

What observations did she notice about other people and the whole dress episode - did they think she was crazy? did they support her? what was the overall opinion of those she came in personal contact with?

This is the stuff I want to know - how did she really do it day after day? Did it start wearing out? What is it made of because if she could wear it for a year every day - whatever it is made of would make great kids clothes!
